If I had a child one day what would I name it? Glad you asked! I just happen to have a list, for starters at least. You should try name making, it's great fun! I have a special meaning (italic) for each name, and a verse that goes with it...then for a few of them I have a special person (in bold) that goes with the verse and meaning whose life inspired the name or meaning of the name. Can definitely identify with your love of names! For each of our kids I gave them a logo and a little tagline. For instance, for our Havilah it is 'something more than gold' (or a variation-not totally settled yet). It works for her, I think, not only because of the reference in Genesis but also she's a golden haired girl (we didn't know she'd be blonde!) It also works specifically for her character/personality. The line is a quote from a Sunday School song we sang as children.
I did actual logos for the older 5 kids but not the younger ones yet. Just these little tagline/slogans. After all there was a reason we picked the name to begin with. Maybe it is sort of a way of giving them a 'blessing'/commission-charge.
Anyway it's been a fun thing for me to do.
I've always liked names that were a bit uncommon so your list is pretty appealing. Watch out--they could get popular after you use them! You'll see them on keychains at the truckstops. That's what happened to some of ours anyway!
